Summary

At Glen Shelly Auto Brokers we are 3rd-Gen Toyota 4Runner fanatics. I’ve had a 2000 and a 2002 in my personal fleet. This 1998 4Runner SR5 is the most badass one we’ve had yet! It came to me on trade and was reportedly built into its current form by one of the guys at Insane Fabrication. As such it is kitted out with Insane Fabrication front and rear bumpers, and rock slider side bars. The front bumper has a winch mount and rock light mounts, the rear bumper has a hinged spare tire mount and rock light mounts. It is pre-wired for lights and there is a light controller mounted in the center console, but you need to provide your own lights. The lift is a Toytech over 315/75 tired mounted on KMC XD 122 Enduro16-inch wheels. I’ve driven a few lifted Tacos and 4Runners (a necessity to get to some of Colorado’s best hang gliding spots) and this is best built one I’ve driven yet. It rides better than a factory 3rd gen. There is no “4Runner shimmy” at highway speeds and the BF Goodrich T/A tires are quiet. When it’s time to go off road, the world is your playground and the factory rear locking diff will keep you out of trouble. It even has a Uniden CB Radio so you can come to the aid of those stranded Jeeps. The timing belt was last done at 198k miles, the valve cover gaskets are mostly dry, the clutch was done at 195k miles and the rear mail seal is dry. The BF Goodrich T/As were mounted 3,000 miles ago at 245k miles, and the front brake pads and brake booster were done at this time. We gave it a fresh oil change in preparation for sale. The exterior is in very good condition for its age and miles. The hood has been painted flat black. There is some fading on the roof, but you won’t see it unless you are an NBA player. There is no rust. The interior is also descent considering its age and mileage. The front seats have been swapped with tan 4Runner seats under black covers. The heat blows warm, the air conditioning is cold, the power doors and windows work—including the rear window and the power antenna. The Carfax is clean and all VIN tags are in place. We would like to find a new owner who will take this on a new chapter of Colorado adventures.
